Humphrey Munson designs and makes the finest kitchens and cabinetry from their workshop in Felsted, where time-honoured joinery meets modern technical innovation.
When they came to us, their digital presence didn’t reflect that craft. A main website sat awkwardly alongside a separate site for their flooring – an unwieldy set-up that was difficult to manage and never told the full story of what they do.
They wanted one consolidated home that positioned them as a truly bespoke design service, one that reaches far beyond kitchens. Our brief was to create an elegant, effortless website that showcased Humphrey Munson’s full capabilities and brought their craftsmanship to the fore, paired with a refined ecommerce experience – all without overwhelming the customer.
Our process
The success of this project was built on careful planning. We invested real time with the Humphrey Munson team to map out the site’s information architecture: understanding their different customers, what each of them needed, and the journeys they would take through the site.
With such a large and detailed portfolio, our priority was to make their many projects easy to navigate and intuitive, so customers could explore the work and find inspiration without ever feeling lost.

A central goal was to show that Humphrey Munson create entire schemes, not only kitchens – they also offer flooring and furniture. We brought their full portfolio to life through an interactive experience that lets customers filter projects by room, offering inspiration for every space in the home.
To match the breadth of what they make, we built a full ecommerce experience, complete with custom finish selections for their bespoke furniture pieces. Customers can configure frame and interior finishes to make each piece their own, turning the considered, made-to-measure nature of Humphrey Munson’s craft into a seamless online ordering experience.
The clever stuff
One of Humphrey Munson’s biggest concerns was protecting their hard-earned SEO ranking through the merger of two sites. We safeguarded it with a carefully considered system of redirects and mapping, then went a step further by improving their visibility – surfacing the cost and availability of each product directly in Google search results with rich Schema.
Behind the scenes, the site is built on WordPress, with bespoke custom blocks that work seamlessly within the native Block Editor, giving the Humphrey Munson team an easy, intuitive way to manage their content and build pages. Intelligent use of a content delivery network keeps imagery optimised and fast-loading without sacrificing quality, giving us the freedom to lead with bold, beautiful photography.
