Chase Distillery was acquired by international drinks giant Diageo in 2021, creating an exciting new future for one of Herefordshire’s finest exports. Seeing huge potential for Chase, Diageo commissioned a new ‘brand world’ to widen market appeal. We were tasked with designing and building a website which interprets the look and feel, working to inspire and educate a raft of new customers. Moving forward, we are developing seasonal content and running email marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales.

Brilliant Block Editor

Translating the new brand look and feel has been an absolute delight but the design is not just skin-deep. Under the bonnet, this site is a thing of beauty. Content is super easy to edit thanks to the fully intuitive CMS experience which looks identical to the published pages. Creating new pages is simple too, with a series of branded blocks which can be dragged and dropped to suit – with no developer time required. This means the content team can build pages quickly and efficiently in response to business needs.

Creating The Content Strategy

With a focus on sharing ways that customers can enjoy the Chase range, we developed the concept of ‘Occasions’. This creates the opportunity to platform Chase’s premium spirits at key moments throughout the year, showcasing their versatility and appeal. We launched with ‘Summer BBQ in style’, curating an interactive collection of cocktail recipes, food pairings, perfect playlists and social media collaborations. 

Driving Sales Via Email 

We’re now managing Chase’s subscriber list and delivering all of their email marketing. Forward planning is vital, including seasonal opportunities which help make the most of our Occasions content. And we’re always quick to respond, for example, to trending topics and promotions from Diageo’s ecommerce site The Bar. Each email is written, pulled together, distributed and evaluated by our team.
