A big part of what makes us tick is our team and studio environment: collaborative, supportive, and made up of like-minded people who genuinely enjoy working together. As the agency has evolved, the need for clear ownership of how work flows through the studio has become increasingly important.

We’re now looking for a Studio Manager to sit at the heart of the agency – stewarding studio workflow, managing project timescales, and ensuring clients experience a calm, professional, and transparent approach to delivery.

The role

The Studio Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the creative studio, with a primary focus on design workflow, resourcing, and delivery.

You will manage and forecast workload across the design and development teams, ensuring work is booked in, scheduled, and delivered efficiently. First-line web support is provided by our Web Support Administrator; you will work with them to coordinate resourcing and manage capacity across the wider studio.

You will also act as a delivery point of contact for clients on design projects and ongoing website builds – booking work in, providing design quotes, managing expectations, and handling conversations around timelines and delays.

This role reports to the Senior Management Team and has the authority to reprioritise work as needed in response to client demands, delivery pressures, or changes in capacity.

Key responsibilities

This role focuses on enabling delivery rather than blocking it – balancing client needs with realistic studio capacity and maintaining the agency’s agile and responsive culture.

You will be responsible for:

  • Booking in, scheduling, and forecasting design work across the studio
  • Managing studio capacity, utilisation, and workload planning
  • Understanding team skill sets and routing design work appropriately
  • Acting as a delivery point of contact for clients on design projects
  • Managing expectations, timelines, and delays with clients calmly and clearly
  • Providing light project management support for ongoing website build projects
  • Line-managing our Web Support Administrator and IT Support Administrator
  • Coordinating holiday and sickness across the agency team
  • Producing clear reporting to highlight risks or delivery issues before they become problems
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of studio processes, systems, and ways of working

The ideal person

You will remain calm under pressure, be highly organised, and feel comfortable operating at the intersection of clients, creatives, and developers.

You’ll likely have:

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • A systems-oriented mindset and confidence using project management software (we use Productive)
  • Experience booking and managing creative work in a studio or agency environment
  • Confidence in communicating directly with clients on delivery matters
  • The ability to manage expectations and handle difficult timeline conversations
  • An affinity with creative and digital production processes
  • Strong collaboration skills and a practical, problem-solving approach
  • Clear, concise reporting skills
  • A resilient, steady presence – especially when things are busy

Role specifics & benefits

  • Full-time/near full-time, permanent role – we are open to discussing flexible working hours
  • This role is intended to be office-based due to its central position within the studio, based in our spacious, open-plan office in Leominster, north Herefordshire
  • Starting immediately
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Regular team events and socials
